As its name -Ad Fines means, in Latin, “on the border”- this red comes with a willingness to accept the challenge of making a great Pinot noir Mediterranean. A wine “high risk” in a border area, which occurs only in the best vintages.
Varieties: Pinot Noir.
First Vintage: 1998.
Made from hand-picked grapes grown on old vines. Traditional fermentation for 25 days without the addition of selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged for 6 months on French oak and for a minimum of 30 months in the bottle.
Colour: mid cherry red. Aroma: gentle earth scents and enticing berry fruits, balsamic. Taste: medium-bodied with smooth tannins, silky with delicate spice and supremely elegant.
Chargrilled and roast meat and poultry, mature cheeses and pulses.
